A striped shirt reconstructed from a 100-year-old textile archive —
not reproduced, but re-engineered from its very structure.
This is not a simple revival.
We carefully analyzed the original weave, refined the yarn count to be finer, and doubled the thread density.
The result is a fabric that is high-density yet supple, with depth and quiet character.
The scale of the pattern has been subtly adjusted,
allowing the shirt to retain its classical roots while naturally integrating into a modern wardrobe.
The yarn is dyed using a method based on traditional kasuri techniques,
creating layered tones and nuanced depth.
The intricate pattern is woven on a double-structure jacquard loom,
producing a dimensional surface rather than a flat print.
Production takes place in Nishiwaki, Hyogo —
a region long known for yarn-dyed textiles —
where every detail is finished with precision.
When worn, the first thing you notice is its structured silhouette.
It holds its shape without stiffness.
Lightweight yet substantial,
the fabric gradually softens and develops character with wear.
A clean stand-up collar.
Reinforced gussets at the hem.
Classic design balanced with everyday durability.
Finished with a woven “Homage 1907” label
by the fabric brand Foley.
This is not a shirt made for trends,
but one made to be worn for years.
A piece that completes itself over time.
