This original oxford fabric is based on the material used for French military officers’ summer trousers from around the 1930s. The original fabric combined breathability and durability, making it comfortable to wear even in the summer heat, and was a practical material suitable for extended wear.
We meticulously analyzed actual vintage fabric, carefully verifying every detail from yarn thickness and irregularities to thread count. Furthermore, by using different irregular yarns for the warp and weft, we have recreated the unique, uneven texture and depth characteristic of that era.
This is not merely a reproduction; it is a fabric that reconstructs the dry texture and airy feel unique to vintage French military garments using modern technology.
