SWEATSHIRT FABRIC

PREQUEL’s sweatshirt is an homage to American vintage from the 1950s–60s.



To recreate the rugged, deeply textured character unique to that era, we deconstructed and analyzed authentic vintage sweatshirts. We studied everything down to the feel of the yarn itself, committing to the process from material development onward.




The long-sleeve model uses slightly thicker yarns, delivering a substantial weight and reassuring density you can feel the moment you pick it up.

The short-sleeve version, on the other hand, is made with finer yarns, pursuing a lighter, softer comfort that naturally conforms to the body.



Both are crafted from open-end spun American cotton. This air-spun yarn creates the distinctive uneven texture associated with vintage pieces, along with a naturally dry touch on the surface.



This is not simply a reproduction,
but a choice to “translate an era.”



A garment that carries the charm of vintage into the air of today.
