I used to get a sample book of printed fabrics from the 1920s and 1930s in France.
Since becoming independent, I have continued to design fabrics based on woven fabrics from 100 years ago, but I would like to try my hand at printed fabrics from now on.
Recently, I have been secretly planning to create original fabrics with a good atmosphere based on this sample book, while making various modifications to it.
We combined two French print designs from around the 1930s to create an original print design. We have kept the atmosphere of the period, imagining what it would have been like if this design had existed back then. Furthermore, unlike vintage prints, we use indigo prints to create unique pieces that did not exist then.
