What if French military trousers from the 1930s were made today?
These trousers are inspired by French Army officer summer trousers from around 1930.
The original Oxford fabric used at the time was designed to offer both breathability and durability, allowing comfortable wear even in hot climates.
To develop this fabric, we carefully deconstructed vintage trousers and closely examined every detail—yarn thickness, irregular texture, and thread density.
By using different slub yarns for the warp and weft, we recreated the distinctive depth and texture found in the original fabric.
Rather than simply reproducing the past, this is an original fabric reconstructed for modern clothing.
The design is based on French military officer trousers from the 1930s.
Details such as the rear adjuster belt and bold, wide belt loops have been carefully incorporated, preserving the character of the original military design.
Durable and practical, yet naturally suited for everyday wear.

At PREQUEL, our aim is not to simply recreate the past,
but to translate it into clothing for today.
Within these trousers,
the atmosphere of nearly a century ago quietly lives on.
