This is a sample of the J1001B Single Breasted Car Coat after being worn for one season.

With repeated wear, natural wrinkles have gradually begun to form along the sleeves, and the jacket has started to develop a sculptural shape that reflects the wearer’s body. Depth and character that did not exist when the jacket was new are beginning to emerge, as the leather slowly starts to remember the shape of the person wearing it.

What stands out most is the natural tension that appears around the sleeves and pocket openings. A jacket that once felt flat slowly transforms into something more dimensional over time. We believe this aging process is one of the greatest qualities of leather garments.

At PREQUEL, we do not see leather as a “finished product.” We believe it only begins to reach completion through wear, gradually developing a unique character shaped by each individual wearer.

The piece shown here is a sample, so the uneven color tones and grain texture appear stronger than they will in the final production version. However, we hope you can appreciate that roughness as part of the atmosphere and beauty unique to leather itself.
