CHARLES LINDBERGH'S FLIGHT JACKET

CHARLES LINDBERGH'S FLIGHT JACKET

Charles Lindbergh & The Spirit of St. Louis

In 1927, a young American aviator, Charles A. Lindbergh, accomplished the first solo, non-stop transatlantic flight in human history.
The aircraft he piloted, the Spirit of St. Louis, was built with the support of the people and sponsors of his hometown, St. Louis—its name symbolizing their shared belief, courage, and respect.

Flying from New York to Paris,
5,800 kilometers over 33 and a half hours,
his monumental journey sent shockwaves and inspiration throughout the world.
Through that long and solitary flight, Lindbergh turned into reality the dream that
“humans could cross the sky and connect continents.”

His achievement accelerated the advancement of aviation and became an iconic moment that marked the beginning of the age of flight.
Lindbergh’s challenge remains one of the greatest adventures of the 20th century—
a testament to human courage, curiosity, and limitless potential.

This piece is an homage to the leather flight jacket worn during that historic moment.
Reconstructed with modern sensibilities, it embodies the functional beauty and quiet tension of garments designed for the sky—
allowing the wearer to carry the Spirit of St. Louis close to them today.

During his flight, Lindbergh layered a cloth flight jacket beneath a full one-piece flight suit.
Our upcoming piece is based on that original cloth outerwear—
reimagined in noble nubuck horsehide for an elevated and contemporary expression.

While preserving vintage design elements,
we shape it to blend naturally into the modern wardrobe—
elegant, comfortable, and subtle in its presence.
A garment that allows the spirit of bold exploration
to be worn quietly in everyday life.

Currently in development for Fall/Winter 2026.
