Art Deco Reimagined – The Original Brass Buckle

The original buckle sample we have been developing since last year has finally been completed.
Inspired by Art Deco designs from the 1920s–1930s, the pattern has been stamped into a 2.5mm thick brass plate.

By pressing the engraving into the brass,
what was once just a piece of metal begins to take on expression.
It transforms into something with a completely different presence.

When paired with French bridle leather,
it does not overpower—yet it quietly draws the eye.
The balance feels just right.

The geometric beauty of 1920s–30s Art Deco
is gradually evolving into a form of quiet strength suited to today.

Should we preserve the natural character of the brass?
Apply plating?
Or finish it with paint?

We are almost there.
The story is slowly beginning to take shape.
