This fabric was inspired by the sweat fabrics commonly seen in American sportswear from the 1950s and 1960s. To recreate the classic uneven texture and dry touch of vintage sweatshirts, the yarns were intentionally spun with a moderate amount of air, giving the surface a soft volume and natural irregularity.
The cotton yarn itself is made from U.S. cotton using open-end spinning, a technique known for producing the distinctive roughness and dry character found in old American athletic wear. On the reverse side, irregular 9-count slub yarns were used to faithfully reproduce the rugged texture of vintage fleece fabrics.
Simple yet full of character, this fabric carries the nostalgic atmosphere of classic American sweatshirts while offering a timeless presence that grows richer with wear.
