Our starting point is a French textile archive from nearly 100 years ago.
We study the original fabric — its weave structure, yarn arrangement, pattern, weight, and the subtle irregularities that give it character.
But the goal is not to reproduce the past exactly as it was.
This time, we are exploring how the original structure can be reworked with more weight and depth, while preserving the character that first drew us to the fabric.
